Does anyone know - Jordan Schleck, any relation to Frank or Andy? And Finn Gullickson - weren’t there a couple of Gullicksons who raced pro mountain bikes back in the day?

With little exposure to gravel racing, I loved getting to learn about this epic race (Unbound is run in Kansas, who knew?). And it was cool seeing some top riders from the European pro peloton. Unfortunately, just like the Netflix TdF series, the target market is not necessarily cycling fans, let alone us hard core fans. This was over produced with too much fluff for a fan to enjoy for a one hour video. It felt like a really long trailer. There was little context for the race - the break got caught? When did that happen? So on one hand it was dumbed down for new viewers but then the announcer only referred to Keegan Swenson as Keegan. Who’s he? … oh he’s the guy leading the series. In summary, now that I got the low down on the race it is unlikely I will watch this type of coverage next year.

bike racing could be THE most awesome sporting contests ever... but there`s always the likelihood that with sponsorship..comes the involvement of pharma/blood doping/epo... elephant in the room, and the corruption and stifling of any reliable genuine regulation and testing of athletes, money greed and winning at any cost even the UCI have a price for distraction.....

Hahhaa, like an EU citizen, I am surprised by the dramatic tone of the US commentators...in every type of ''show'' - race, tv, or national geographic series...Who needs that??? Respect, to Lachlan, he deserved it after such a demanding cycling career!

Rough roads, pioneers, no stopping, long distances, limited support and beer!! It draws paralels to the earliest bike races of the 20th century imho. 😬. Simply incredible.

A step in the right direction, but pretty disappointing coverage to be honest. This video is nothing more than videography interspersed with interviews and an occasional race summary. Other than the finish, there are no race moves captured, no defining moments, its Ironman style "race coverage" nice for viewers not familiar with the sport but for those that watch any bike racing this is boring. Put the interviews in the beginning, show uncut footage of key moments, attacks, and splits. That would be way more entertaining than this is.

I did a duathlon once that had cows running across the bike course, I had lucky timing, didn't have to slow, guy in front of me had to stop, heh.

Chad haga. 12 grand tours. Not 18. Not all finished. Absolute beast of an achievement, however there is a large difference between 12 and 18 grand tours. Also not recently retired from world tour, its been a few years at best. Would be great if the commentators knew the facts and not made up things

Unbelievable finish for the women’s group. Seeing a cluster that large sprint is truly remarkable. This race always has great endings but knowing they finished so close proves how matched these athletes are both physically and mentally.
